[quote=WhiteWidow00;2493585]I was in no way trying to offend or put down anyone and I apologize for doing so. I had a bad day at work where I found out they overpaid me this quarter $1,300 so I had to forfeit a paycheck as well as all my vacation time for the rest o this year.

Honestly I'm not being joking about this in any way that I am sincerely sorry for coming off as an a hole. I will hold back on stupid pointless add-on to posts also. LOL[

ok well thanks for the apology greatly appreciated it....i totally understand about how bad days are at work.. i am used to working 6 days a week and now we are down to 4 days ugh sucks we are a honda part supplier we get supplies from japan so go figure..well maybe now we can all be friends? I am honestly a Ford man we bought a durango for my wife a year ago..today we bought another durango that has a 318 needs a rebuild but it came with another 318 with a tranny..almost have the 4.7 out i have been told that with the tranny and all should work (318). hope so

I guess I've just never seen a stick Dakota so I'll have to poke my head over in that section when I get a chance. Can this be confirmed by anyone because honestly, I'd love to convert my truck into a manual transmission.

Not sure if it's possible on the Durango but I'm sure if it is on the Dakota, it should be.

Since this thread is very similar to what I was going to ask, I'm just going to toss it on here. Does anyone know of a good 5.9 Magnum crate engine that can just be dropped in as a replacement for the one already in my 1999 Dodge Durango, or if not does anyone know of a good engine shop in the Phoenix/Yuma, Arizona that does good work?

Later...

Brekar...

100% true, the dakota came w/ a stick all the way thru the 1st and 2nd generations, sometime in the 3rd gen they dropped the stick on the v8, i have been planning to swap a manual into mine when (if??) the transmisison goes out on me bc i hate the slushbox thats in there now.

and widow the dakota w/ the 5.9 was NOT available w/ a manual, you would need to find a 5.2 and use that transmission

afaik the bolt patterns to attach the trans to both te 5.2 and 5.9 are the same, so the manual from a 5.2 is what he would need to find (as i said above)

No, Durango's have the 5.9L has a 46RE, and the 5.2L has either a 42RE or 44RE. All are automatic.

Does anyone know of a good 5.9 Magnum crate engine that can just be dropped in as a replacement for the one already in my 1999 Dodge Durango
There is a performance 5.9L crate motor out there for like $ 2995.00 http://www.precisionengine.com/rebui...ge-magnum.html
