They dropped the price down to $459.99. Have anyone obtained the measurement for the oem radio?
again, this radio has a measurement of 178mmx192mmx90mm
178mm = depth
192mm = width
90mm = height
doing the math, a 100mm is double din and 50mm is single din. so 1.5 din should be 75mm.
that's still 15mm taller. I would like to know if the actual opening where the radio goes in will be big enough to barely fit this radio in? If so, I can always widen the front dash facing to accommodate the bigger deck.

I guess I will have to figure this out all by myself now. I found a link at Scott Craig's website that shows you how to replace/install radio on a 2000 durango. The procedure is much much easier than I initially thought.

looks like anything larger than the OEM 1.5 din will be tight on a 2000, doable but tight. On the 2001 there is plenty of room, enough for a double din....with some modification.
If you are going to have to do some custom work, just go w/ a reputable aftermarket double din GPS reciever - kenwood, JVC Clarion ect. Who knows what the interface on this unlabeled Chinese HU is like, I have not had much luck w/ any other chinese knock offs and would not want to spend $450 to find out the GPS/audio interface is glitchy and a apin the the *** to use.

First of all, pretty much everything is made in China, I wouldn't be suprised if most of the components used are exactly the same.
Secondly, Kenwood and JVC (as well as Clarion) are all pretty rubbish. Not exactly the first brand names that come to mind when you talk about reputable car electronics.
