Need a new Radiator...
According to my window sticker, my tow package included the following: a larger alternator (160 amp vs 136 amp), larger battery (750 amp vs 600 amp), HD engine cooling, transmission cooler, hitch, wiring harness & 7 to 4 pin adapter.

Punch in your vin #, it will tell you what your vehicle started out as, what was fitted after that is anybodies guess, but its a start.
Dont read whats already up cos thats for mine, you will have to put your own vin # up, sorry but sadly some people would !

Neil, don't sweat the OD OFF button. When it's not depressed, your transmission will shift normally: 1-2-3-4. I basically only press it when I'm towing, or when I want to delay an upshift.
My tow package also included a Power Steering Cooler (always wondered about that) and Large Side Mirrors. The build sheet that Dodge sent me also includes line items for Heavy Duty Suspension and Heavy Duty Service Group. Not sure if those last two came through the Tow Package.

I've got pretty large heated mirrors on mine. If I'm reading that webpage right, I have the tow group, with the heavy duty electrical and heavy duty service, with a 750 amp battery but only a 136 amp alternator. I always figured that the O/D on or off button was only supposed to be used anyways when towing, i.e. O/D on when not towing, O/D off when towing...

Thanks man, I was being a little sarcastic to the poster who said the OD was the only way a Durango will get into 3rd., I know what an overdrive does, and I know my tranny shifts into 3rd gear all on its own, but thanks for the reply, best wishes.

No, putting it in 3rd is the same thing as turning the O/D off. In D the truck will automatically shift from 1st to 4th by itself. On some cars/trucks you have (D) 321 as the gears you can put it in. Pushing the O/D off button would be life shifting from (D) to 3rd, on the Durango (and anything with this setup) you just push the button instead of shifting to 3rd. Same thing, different way of getting there.
That really wasn't necessary... I guess what I said was just taken wrong, I meant that on the gear shifter you can't manually put it in 3rd, thats what the button basically does.
Actually I'm going to end this argument right now. The Overdrive Gear (O/D) is a torque converter lock-up gear where you are more fuel efficient and at a lower gear ratio. The O/D should never be locked out unless you are in mountainous terrain or pulling a large load. If you have the O/D OFF just in normal driving you would be likely to see both higher engine temperatures as well as higher transmission temperatures (both BAD).
Overdrive is not always the highest gear and does engage itself automatically. Saying that pressing the O/D Off button in is like shifting down to 3 (which is not there on most Durango's) is wrong because it's not like that at all. You are turning off an electronically controlled unit where as on shifters that have D-3-2-1, you are simply not letting that gear engage.
Also, not all Durango's have D-2-1, actually mine has D-3-2-1. I have a 47re transmission in mine which is a 4+O/D transmission.

im sorry widow but i disagree with you on this count, OD is (in my case) 5th gear (i have a 545rfe) and pressing the OD off button locks out 5th gear, i use it when doing backroad driving(speeds under 40, where OD should NOT be engaging anyway) and it does NOT cause the truck to run hotter, i dont have a trans temp sensor so idk about that one, but it DOES give me better gas mileage bc it spends less time gear hunting and locks up the torque converter too. So that said if you are on the highway and press the OD off button it WILL be the equivalent of shifting into 4th (for me) or 3rd for most. btw even being a 5spd auto mine still has the d-2-1 digital shift indicator, i assumed this was a $$$ thing which was done bc the 5.9 was still offered w/ only a 4spd . . .
also could you please provide an example of where OD is something other than the highest gear (double overdrive excluded of course)
