Default Replacing Stock Muffler

I want to replace the stock muffler on my 2000 Dodge Durango 4x4 and I need to know what cherrybomb glasspack I need to get. Can someone give me the part number of which one i need for a nice deep tone glasspack on this website? http://www.jegs.com/p/Cherry-Bomb/Ch...69804/10002/-1

I would suggest something similar to this one.http://www.jegs.com/i/Cherry-Bomb/54...oductId=769804
It has the 2.5 inlet/outlet that my Durango (and I'd assume your's as well) comes standard with. Either way let us know what you get and how it sounds...

Later...

Brekar...

Like Brekar said, if you're not doing a CAT-back and just replacing the muffler you'll need 2.5" in/out and plan on welding some spare pipe because the stock muffler is way bigger than 26". Also, hopefully you know this is the loudest thing you could of picked (being a glasspack) it is in no way a muffler and is more of an amplifier. A glasspack is straight in and out and no muffling at all and the "glasspack" that's around it amplifies tone to make for a louder noise.

If you're wanting a nice noise and not obnoxiously loud, like topdogcustoms said, a Flowmaster 40 will give you a nice combination of loudness and tone. A glasspack also affects the amount of backflow you have substantially, and although I've never heard of issues regarding it, in theory it can do no good to the exhaust system.

I definitely agree...a flowmaster 40 would be perfect...I have the original 40, had to make it work though as they do not come in our inlet/oulet configuration...but it sounds great and is louder than I thought it would be....but has a great tone as well.

Thanks all for the help with the muffler. =] I am 16 and when I turn 17 in June I can't wait to take the Durango out for a ride! And yes I want it to be LOUD! I like the sound of the Cherrybomb glasspack and I am not really into the Flowmaster stuff for the most part. Anyway for some pics, check out http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k555/jpguitar94/ it's a little beat up from when I bought it but hey, it was well worth it! I painted the rims flat black also. Let me know what you think of my Durango.

It doesn't look too bad, just need to get rid of the metal bumper or swap for a newer year plastic.

Glass packs are good, but I prefer Magnaflow. Same by design (straight flow design) but quiets it down.
