Default A/C poll

What temp ranges are you guys getting from your a/c vents? At 40-50 mph my vents are blowing about 25-30°F less than the ambient temp. I'm not necessarily disappointed, just curious if it's typically...

I use my redneck A/C and it works excellent. Not sure how cold it blows but the blower is nice because it's speed based. The faster I go, the harder it blows! WOOOOOO

No but on a more serious note, with outside air and A/C on it should blow on average 35* colder than the outside temperature. With Recirculate on and the car at a relatively comfortable temperature it should read in the ballpark of 40*.

Yep, they are only set up to run like 35-40 degrees colder then outside temps. You can always insulate the piping to help against warming of the pipes and that will help get it a little cooler. Have you had it serviced?

Not yet, didn't want to waste my money if it was close to its maximum potential. It's blowing around 50°, good enough for now. Last week I replaced the electric fan. It was toast. That made a big difference for the stop and driving a/c temps.

You could wrap the lines like I said and that will help give ya some colder temps.

I wrapped the lines in the engine bay last night. It's not beautiful, but it will suffice (I used dark gray foam pipe insulator at $2 for 6ft and about a dozen zip ties).I didn't bother with the lines under the truck for the rear a/c. The weather cooled down quite a bit yesterday, so I'll have to wait a couple more days to see the affects.
