wow... when i purchased the pump for my rig it came with all the parts, that tube, the o-ring...

It's a joke here in Canada. The dealer wants $49 for this tube.

how much was the pump? it cost me like 60 total all parts

You could try a junk yard and look for any 1998-1999 5.9L or 5.2L motor.

You should put a new O ring on the tube before you install.

I found one for $20 so that isn't too bad, only double what I should have paid. It was $100 for a rebuilt pump from a jobber and the dealer wanted over $200 for a new one.

i suggest staying away from rebuilt/re-manufactured units, they tend to fail quickly

+1 I would stay away from rebuilds.

I guess it is too late for me, I bought a rebuilt one. The jobbers here say that the rebuilt is actually better than the new from their experiences. I will find out soon enough. I can barely turn the old one by hand so I'm sure that couldn't have been too good for gas mileage.
