tarrin8, i dont think a muffler will effect anything. maybe not having your cat could be a possible problem. but the whole reason people run seafoam or lucas or that mystery magic oil stuff is to either A) clean out the cylinders/motor by running it through a vac line or just before an oil change. or B) in there gas. because those additives increase the temperature at which the gas will burn. and because the gas burns at a higher temp the extra heat helps clean things up as well.

i would say do either of the following,

run lucas fuel injector cleaner. or stp injector cleaner. try running 89 or 91 octane for a few fill ups. and try seafoaming your car. all these things at total could cost maybe an extra 20-30 bucks? maybe not even that.

Just pull this connector off like I said in an earlier post just remove the hard plastic connector from the flexible rubber connector and suck the SeaFoam up through the hard plastic hose.

From what I've seen with my experience, make sure you put the SeaFoam in the tank, then fill up with gas because it tends to mix better and doesn't just leave a bunch of non-gasoline at the bottom of your tank to sit there. LOL

yeah thats why i was gonna wait til my next fill up. I'm just under half a tank right now. maybe like 6 gallons before i need to fill up.

this is probably rare but if you "read" the bottle of stp or Lucas it says to add than fill up gas. but who reads these bottles any how. lol

I don't mind STP, don't notice much of a change when I was using it, but when I put a bottle of Lucas Fuel Conditioner, I had to replace a fuel pump and two fuel injectors. Just a coincidence? I think not because it was no later than 50 miles after I put it in the system and it was running like a top before I put it in.

SeaFoam IMHO does work wonders just because I've seen the inside of the combustion chamber before and after and it really does clean it up quite a bit. I've also noticed a slight (not much) improvement every time I run SeaFoam through my system.

yeah, I've never really heard anything bad about sea foam. but I'm sure there's people out there who have had bad experiences.

I remember somebody using Lucas or sea foam one or the other after having there car sit for a while few months at least and said once then ran it there fuel filter pump and line where just clogged up big time.

what i think happened to them was after sitting for so long it all gunked up in the bottom and using an additive lifted it all up and caused this? not sure but yeah I'm gonna sea foam her tonight or tomorrow depending on how i feel.
