I too have this problem on my 02 2WD SXT...been doing this for over a year! It's down right embarrassing! Srch4me, how did you take off your sway bar? I mean I have looked at mine, but not quite sure how to get it off so I could see if that was the culprit..seemed like mine is on there pretty good...I am also wondering if it is my Control arm bushings...I am thinking that would be a lot more of a pain and more expensive as I am not that mechanicly inclined and would need to take it to a shop...but if someone could easily explain to me how I could get my front sway bar off for troubleshooting purposes that would be awesome...

the control arm bushings can be greased if you have the right attachement for the gun... along with the upper and lower ball joints... the sway bar comes off easily enough... leave the car on the ground and turn the car wheels out so you can get at it easier... there should be 2 13mm bolts on each side and then the middle ones are larger, not sure how large... but take the outers off first... to get the bar to swing down you gotta pull on it kinda hard... the middle bushings you have to take the brush guard off to access the middle sway bar bushings to pull them off as well... then the bushings just slide off and you can grease them that way... i would put money on it though that if you either grease all the upper and lower ball joints and control arm bushings, or replace them that the squeeking is very likely to stop... i dont know for sure yet cause i have two zerks i can get my gun on

The ball joints may not be greasable (is that even a word???). The OEM ball joints were not. Sometimes el cheapo ball joints (upper or lower) don't have grease ports.
Also, if you leave the sway bar off the truck very long it will relax. That will make it a PITA to put back into place.

factory ball joints are NOT greasable, if they have been replaced with a good quality replacement then they will be greasable

ok well whatevers on my rig is greasable... im almost positive they're the ball joints... does anyone know if dodge or chrysler sells right angle zerk nipples? i figure just replacing the zerks on the control arm bushings will be the easiest

They don't sell right angle zerks because they believe in sealed bearings, not greased ones.

Now if there is indeed a zerk they CAN be replaced, but you could look at a NAPA or a establishment that sells casters/wheels/forklift fittings and wheels.

hydra... the zerk i pulled out has a chamfered edge/beveled edge on the bottom and i believe it seats itself into something in the joint... am i right? i found some right angle zerks that fit but dont have that bevel on the lower edge... maybe ill put them back in... when i put one in the first time and greased it, it looked like it was leaking grease all over the place but it could have just been grease coming out arround the bearing...

Sounds like it might have been a tapered thread zerc. Take a look here at the possible different styles: http://saeproducts.com/grease-fittings.html

Can you take a picture for us?

I'm thinking it sounds like a lower ball joint.
