Default front suspension sqeak

so my front suspension is sqeaking like crazy... over bumps, when i brake, when i turn... ive managed to somewhat make it less but it still does it... ive greesed the sway bar bushings, and anything up there that has a zerk on it except the control arm ones which just happen to be right under where my frame is making it next to impossible to get my grease gun on... any suggestions?

I'd like to know myself. Have this issue too, seems to be the drivers side on mine.

hell i think its on both sides of my rig... i keep trying to find right angle zerk fittings to put in but cant find any that have a beveled bottom... with out a beveled bottom to mate to the inside of the threads then grease just leaks out arround the threads

Get under your truck and jack it up slowly and listen for the squeak with each pump of the jack. It sounds like your sway bar bushing are worn. They are not very expensive. I'd replace them instead of greasing them. You may be causing them to break down even more if you are using the wrong type of lubricant.

its not the sway bar... i took off the sway bar completely and rocked my rig back and forth and the suspension still squeaked.

Could be lots of things. I'd just get under there and keep moving the jack around to different locations until you find it. It may take some patience and a few beers. The good new is that it's a squeak. I'll take a squeak over a grind anyday!

I used to have the front end squeak too. Drove me frickin nuts. I was constantly spraying lube every few days on the bushings. We recently, as in 2 months ago, moved to central Florida from up by Chicago and I have no more squeaks.

I think it had to do with all the salt crap they put on the roads up there. When it rained the squeak stopped, but as soon as the sun came out and everything dried out the squeak was back again.

well its been squeeking rain or shine... doesn't matter... i know its not the front sway bar bushings... i think its coming from the joint on the control arm that sits right below part of the frame... its in a spot that i cannot get a grease gun on it to try to lube it up...
