Default Rough acceleration...misfire??

Hey all,
Sorry I kind of didn’t want to start a new thread but I suppose to avoid confusion...
So I have been searching my problem for a while now and can’t seem to find a solution...
My problem is a rough acceleration...i think it may be a misfire yet not sure...
The startup is somewhat rough, it revs up more than it should IMO then it comes back down to about 500 rpm...
When I put it in drive and hit the accelerator it seems rather sluggish and sounds sort of like a chug... now when it warms up and I have been on the road for a while and I hit the gas from a stop, it sounds fine and that chugging sounds is not there anymore.
D - 2002 4.7 stock 4x4 slt.

ok so the last tune up......well i am the second owner and i have not done one since I've had it. I do not drive it that much but since summer is coming wanna take it out and strech the legs a bit..
battery IDK either..I know I must do a tune up..on that topic what should I do?? 132k on it.. last dealership inspection they told the factory seals from the diff or transfercase have not been broken.....??
Could that be soley the reason for the chug acceleration??

At 132k I would say it most likely needs plugs. Plain copper Champions gapped at .040

All other fluids should be changed out as well if you don't know when they were done, including the tranny filter(s). Clean the throttle body, look for cracked vacuum lines, normal maintenance like that.

If tha battery is 3+ years old consider replacing it.

no wires cap or rotor on the 4.7, only change plugs and air filter for a tune up

I would replace the brake fluid as well.

1. Motor - 10W-30
2. Trans - ATF+4
3. Transfer case - ATF+4
4. Rear Diff - 80W-90 - Modifier ins LSD rear diff about 7-8oz if equipped. 75-90 if using Fully Synthetic
5. Front Diff - 80W-90 - 75-90 if using Fully Synthetic
6. Brake - DOT 3 or DOT 4

+1 - Replace spark plugs with Champion Copper (yes the cheap ones).
