Transmission rebuilt...now Check Engine Light on!
$1500 later after a Front seal and complete rebuild and my check engine light comes on as I drive it out of the parking lot. I take it back and they run a scan with nothing coming up except that the O2 sensor shows it's running a little lean.
He cleared it and said that if it comes back on that I will need to replace the upstream o2 sensor. I asked why it would have suddenly went out and he said that when the exhuast was opened it may have triggered it.
What exhaust opening?!? What do you have to do with the exhaust when removing the tranny?
I'm sick of dumping money into this thing, what are your thoughts? If it really IS the o2 sensor I can replace myself, but after replacing the rear speed sensor to get rid of the ABS/BRAKE light and it NOT fixing it, I'm worried about replacing things that don't need replacing and still not fixing the problem.

Sometimes after you have work done, your check engine light will come on if something was disconnected to trigger it. It may take a few drives (5 or 6) for it to clear if nothing is indeed wrong. If it doesn't clear, then you should get it checked out. I bought a Chilton manual that has all the codes in it. Worth it's weight!
