Default Bump stops... no clearance.

Replaced the worn bump stops today

But.. the passenger side doesn't have any clearance

Drivers side... looks a little better..

What can I do to cure the spacing on the passenger side?

My '00 slightly touches on both sides, has for years.

The jounces deteriorate from the weather, not rubbing. That foam stuff they are made of isn't as resilient as rubber would be.

Yeah.. that foam stuff costs plenty doesn't it..
I'm gonna get it checked out pretty soon... man this thing is sucking up the 'extra' money that I had hoped to save by buying it.

im going to 2nd what indy said, mine touch too and have for as long as i can remember.

Also, while that sucks, thats a chance you take buying a used vehicle, especially one thats 12 years old, but think of it this way, once you get it fixed it will stop sucking up your money.

It is never supposed to be like that!

Your ride height has been lowered or your T-bars have lost some of the tention. You need to reset the factory ride height and get an aglinment. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ment-woes.html

After you set the ride height back to factory (because the techs are to lazy to do it right in the first place) you need to tell them NOT TO TOUCH THE HEIGHT! They can aglin it without touching the height.

What money? They take 2 minutes to replace and cost like $10 a pair. Check under your couch cushions. Expect the dealer to sell you "bearings"

Where did you find them for $10 a pair.. I bought these for like $57 from the dealer. The ones I found on ebay (which were wrong) were $35(with shipping) for the set..

My bump stops are trashed and I noticed that they sit awfully close to the lower control arm as well. My Durango sits level though so does it make sense that the suspension has sagged equally at all four corners? Well, I have the factory service manuals so I'll have to check the ride height and see whats up.
