What in the hell is going on with this thing???
Where are you getting your TPS's? most of the ones on ebay or the auto stores are junk... Most have only had good luck after pony up the dollars for one at the stealership.

As soon as it heats up it starts pulsing on acceleration. Even after replacing it with a good one today.

What codes are you getting? This sounds like some sort of senor issue.

Just a follow up on this random issue...
I had pretty much given up on fixing this sans an engine rebuild but it still ran good enough to continue to use as a secondary vehicle. The aftermarket stereo was flaking out and acting like had a short so I decided to replace it so i could at least of decent audio when using the vehicle.

While replacing it I discovered the previous one sounded like crap because the stock amp was a 2 ohm amp and I had left it connected when I did the aftermarket install. I bypassed the amp, installed the new stereo and it sounds great.

The strange is that since that day, the Durango has ran great and after two tanks of gas I'm averaging 14.8 MGP which is better than the 13.7 I typically averaged before it started running like crap.

So, what are the chances that the factory amp or first aftermarket stereo could cause some level electrical issue that would cause the problems in this thread I've been fighting for 4 years?

These are very sensitive to electrical pulses and short. Drive one with a bad battery once, it can start it fine but if it has a short it will cause all sorts of weird stuff. So I could imagine if it had a short in the radio it could throw things off. I has to do with the fact the alternator feeds the fuse box and relays. The battery doesn't get to buffer the pulses and any short won't be buffered by the battery either.
