Default 00 durango elec issue

i got a 00 durango 4.7 an im having a little trouble with it again. recently i did a motor swap cause other motor blew. well i just finished it up and now when i use my left blinker all my gauges shutoff, and when blinker shuts off all my warning lights will come on. check engine, airbag, washer fluid, etc etc. even my odometer starts to blink then says no bus. an when i turn on my parkin lights my speedo an my tach stop workin. anyone have any idea what would be causing this? no wires where pinched and all sensors would only plug into certain plugs so dont seem like i switched any.

you definitely have wires crossed somewhere, could be a ground issue but my first thought would be a frayed wire in the cluster area. or a wire for the cluster area, probably power or ground)

when the gauges shut off the dash must be loosing power and then when the blinker comes back on all the lights go on as if you just turned the key on (at least that is how i read your post), this is normal and is just the cluster running a self test.

yea thats exactly what its doing. speedo drops to 0 gas to empty, tach to 0, etc. and then it does act like im turning truck on when blinker off, someone told me it may be the relay. is that possible? an def dint do this before motor swap was done

you definitely crossed a wire, maybe a relay is in wrong, but i dont see how that would happen, unfortunately (only bc its a PITA) its time to start tracing wires, you have either a bad ground or a short somewhere that is killing the cluster

well tomorrow imma do the rocker or lifter (which ever one is causin my tappin) and then imma put truck on ramps and check all the plugs and everything. cause all we did was disconnect plugs and when done plugged back in. dint take out any relays or nothin like that. i noticed today that there was 1 plug still hangin down an not connected. so really hopin thats the problem.

if you dont have an overhead console with temperature readout i would bet that plug goes to nothing on your truck, its in about the correct location (front passenger corner of the engine bay, next to the radiator) and all the trucks were wired for the temp sensor even it if wasnt installed.

damn.... was really hoping that was the problem lol. well ive come to the conclusion that im just gonna pay the 100 bux and take it to dodge. ive been workin on it all day and nothing looks wrong or is frade or anything else. they can also fig out why my motor has a knock. (not rod knock) thought it was a rocker but they seem to be fine. i do have a cell code coming up and my airbag light is on also. so maybe that will be the prob. but cant find the airbag sensor. so ill let them fig it out an ill just fix it myself lol

the airbag light could be bad clock spring, do you have steeringwheel controls? and if so do they work, does the cruise control work? what about the horn?
