2000 durango wont stay running
ok so i have a 2000 durango 4.7 when i jump the car it wont stay running for long and if i pull the jumper cable off while truck is running it will stall and if i charge the battery and start it it will run till battery dies, i bought a brand new battery and also bought 2 brand new alternators and checked all connections and fuses and still cant find the problem. cans any one give me advice thanks,
sometimes on these trucks the wires corrode under the insulation and you cant see it from a visual inspection, put an ohm meter on and see if there is any resistance (wire needs to be disconnected from the circuit to do this)
i checked for corrosion in all the lines i opened them all up they all seem fine i also put a tested to every wire there all getting power or are a good ground i have one wire goin from the alternator to the fuse box, i have one goin from the fuse box to the battery and one from thee battery to the starter. and i have a ground from the battery to the chassis and a ground from the battery to the block they all are good and my 140amp fuse is also good idk what it could be i also my volt gauge isnt workin at all and i have a check gauge light on the dash i changed batterys and alternators again still nothing desperately need help
what is the voltage across the battery posts when the engine is running? what about when its not running? what about when the key is off?
something very odd is going on and i know that PCM is supposed to control charging and while its the only thing left to check/change its an expensive part so i dont want to call it out as being the problem without being sure.

+1 Sharps we need the voltage read outs.
What codes are you getting?
.
and i have a check gauge light on the dash
2000 and newer directions:
Turn the key to ON (not start), OFF, ON, OFF, ON and leave it there. If you look in the odometer window the codes will flash any code(s) with a small delay between each result. Each code should be in a P#### format, and will say PDONE when completed - turn your key to OFF and remove. Use the OBD code list to determine what problem the computer detected
