I just found out tonight that a good way to get out of the 2nd O/D (TC Lockup) is to press on the brake while on the gas and it kicks off, or at least it works for me.

All is well. The shifts are a little rough but it's been like that since i've had the D. I called for a TCM "reconfiguration" and its like $150.

Yes it will but like I said in a previous post, all of your PRND12 lights will all be selected as the computer software for communication is different.

Well, I've been thinking more about this since I do have a 2001 with the 3 plug PCM. I just don't know if it will help or hurt me. The gas mileage is worse in this 4.7 than my first one, but I also have 32" tires on this one too, with the 3.55 gears. I get about 14 MPG average, but I also do drive on the fast side... While it would be nice to get a bit more mileage, I also won't do anything that would hurt the performance of it, I really do like how it throws you in the seat when you floor it on the highway passing someone.

All this does is gives you an extra over drive gear. Simple as that. The 545RFE is still being used today so it must be a damn good upgrade.

My truck gets quite a bit of highway use, so it might be worth it.
