Default Brakes

My brakes need help! when I step on the brake the rear makes a noise and the pedal pulses.my ABS light and brake light have been on for awhile.front brakes pads are good have not done the rear brakes yet. would the shoes need to be change cause the pedal to pulse. thanks for the help.

What is the trick to getting the drum off easy.

there isnt one, use an old 2x4 and a hammer and go around the outside rim of the drum and it will eventually wiggle off

also make sure that you have the ebrake OFF (i dont say this to offend you, but you would be surprised how many people dont realize this)

+1 on the 2x4, and if they haven't been taken off in awhile like mine it may take some forceful hits.

im OCD about keeping up on stuff, but every time i rotate the tires (every 5k miles) i take the drums off and check em, makes sure i know how much pad is left

I hadn't checked mine ever, so 4yrs later this summer I checked and there was still over 50%. Of course for the first 2 yrs I hardly put any miles on it.

i still have my origional pads in the rear and i have 100,001 miles on my truck as of this instant.

I have them apart trying to put them back.whats the trick to get the adjuster back on I'm having one hell of a time get it on.the drums came off easy just a few taps with a big hammer.
