Well the shop got the used pump and module combo, programmed in my r&p and bleed my brakes. They work now, and i'm impressed but I still don't like abs.

Ya I hate ABS anything. I remember when the driver learned how to brake when it was slippery. Out of a shop happy with the out come for under $500 I'd be happy with that.

You know, I used to feel the same way, then I got the chance to do a "real world" test of them. I had to do a driver training class at work for pursuit vehicles (don't get excited....my chances of ever driving one in an actual PURSUIT is pretty much squat) and part of it was driving on slick surfaces. The test vehicles were equipped with ABS that could be disabled so we could feel the difference. I was absolutely certain that I could stop quicker without them, but was proven dramatically wrong. Not only was my stopping time shorter with ABS, I could steer the vehicle easily. Not such an easy trick when you're pumping the pedal madly on a skid surface with orange cones in front of you!

Yeah, the feel is gone somewhat with them, but after experiencing both methods in the same environment ABS wins hands down. Trying to train your foot to just press the pedal and let the computer take over is the difficult part!

It wasn't module master it was ASI, and yes they did. But the pump was shot So me and the shop decided to get the a working pump and module from a wrecked one. It came to $430 with the new rear speed sensor. Yeah I don't feel like they screwed me one bit. I still have the rebuilt module if anyone wants it.
