Default Is there a way to make all the doors unlock when I get out?

Happens all the time. I get home form the store, hop out, go to the tailgate and it's locked. I can't recall a car in recent memory that didn't unlock them all when you put it in park, shut it off and open the drivers door. Is there a way to make this happen?

i know you can make all the doors unlock when you use the fob with one push, but as far as unlocking when you turn it off, i don't believe there is just hit the unlock button on the drivers door, only way i know for sure.

mike, you are driving a truck that is nearing 10 years old (03 would be about 9) it is NOT a recent vehicle, it also does not have a way to make it automatically unlock all the doors simply by opening the drivers door.

that said you MAY be able to buy an aftermarket alarm which controls locks which will let you do this
I do NOT recommend this as aftermarket alarms tend to cause alot of electrical problems.

Yeah I guess it is 9 years old and technology wise, quite a bit older.

I would like to know how to open all door with 1 push of the key fob.

My '02 SLT must be the oddball. As I pull away all the doors lock, and as soon as I turn the ignition off all doors unlock including the tailgate.

Well, just read a couple of posts back - I guess its due to the alarm. Sorry!

the factory alarm doesnt do that, but if you have an aftermarket alarm its possible.

btw, all the doors lock when you get to 15 or so mph

My 98 doesn't lock the doors ever unless I do it, but it isn't nearly as sophisticated as the 2000+ D's were.

you would have to reprogram the security module. or... you could think of ideas to mimic the I/O of the unlock process.. does the ignition send a signal (analog or digital??) when it is turned to the off position?? you may be able to run a jump wire from the ignition to the unlock toggle.. this is just playing with ideas.. not something i would do with my ride but if its a huge issue for you, go ahead and give it a shot..
