my 99 durango 5.9 4wd/ 4wabs has abs and brake lights both lit. i have changed the switch on the rear end and the switch on the tranny. I have no problems with the brakes but i wanna see what the abs code is saying , then i wanna shut them off. Other than going to the dealer to have them use the DRB, I have heard that a snap-on code reader might be able to read these codes. I had and Actron unit and i checked into the innova OBDII models and neither one will work for my trucks abs codes. I have seen the Snap-on MT2500 readers boxes on ebay for reasonables prices, does any one know if this will work for my year with 4wheel ABS?

 

You're more than likely gonna have to contact the scan tool companies to see, other than that you might find a local shop that has one.

 

The snap-on that the AAMCO shop used to read my ABS code for free has a bunch of chips/keys for different vehicles. Be careful they are expensive!

 

Your better off asking a dealer to fix the issue or at least tell you what is wrong for $60 bucks and just bite the bullet.
