Names Donnie, I'm 28, and have had a few jobs, current job is the best I've had so far, working on turning it into a career, I work for MCG-Grove as an assembler spec a. Just means I'm an assembler that trouble shoots elec. and hydrualic issues. Forgot to say what it is I build though lol I build rough terrain mobile cranes.

Hey everybody. My real name is Jeff Raastad. I am 42 and still hanging around. I have a senior and freshman in high school in Germany. I am currently stationed here in the Army. When I joined this was the dream job for me but as of late I am rethinking that after being blown up and shot at in the great sandbox. Not once, not twice but three times the charm. I am currently working on my Bachelors degree in business Administration looking at personell management as a focus. I only have a few more years of active service before I retire.
I had bought my first Durango in 2007 and fell in love with it immediatly. It is still mine just sitting in the states in storage until I get back there. I recently ran into a great deal on a 2000 Durango for my senior son since he liked mine so much. I got it for only 200 dollars and only needed to put in a battery.
I hope to go into the auto business after I get my degree. I would love to own my own shop and sales lot. Thanks to all of my fellow service members who have served, are serving and or will serve in the future. Without you as my brothers in arm none of us would have the freedoms that we have today. GOD BLESS THE USA!!

I'm Bob, 49 years young (but enjoy behaving like I'm 21 still!) I've had several careers, most of them in some sort of technical skills (electrical design, industrial robotics, digital communications) and am also a retired (20+ years) Air Force Reservist, served overseas a few times in the sandbox, and finished my military career up as an aircraft inspector on C-130H models. I made a major life change a few years ago when I was recruited by the Department of Homeland Security, and now I can say that I actually ENJOY going to work again!
Most of my auto experience is learned from my father (rest in peace Dad, I miss ya!) who was a large diesel engine mechanic. He had me turning wrenches at the age of 6. I've restored a few early Mustangs, a 1940's Ford tractor, and am currently rebuilding his 1936 Centaur tractor with the "help" of my two 8 year old boys.
In the past I've worked on the restoration of a WWII P-39 AirCobra and a B-17 bomber. Naturally I've also done pretty much any car repairs that I've ever needed.
My other "obsession" (just ask my wife!) is R/C model airplanes which I've built & flown for 35+ years. You'll find anything from backyard foam flyers to a turbine powered jet in my shop. Now that my two boys are involved as well it's become even more fun.
I was introduced to this forum through a yahoo search when I was having a hard time troubleshooting my Durango. I got some good advice on here as well as met some GREAT people, so I hang around and pop in from time to time.
BTW, for you guys working on your engineering degrees & such, don't just focus your job search on traditional engineering jobs. You'd be real surprised what's out there if you expand your search a bit. I've got a Masters in Aerospace Engineering that I truly have NEVER utilized in my life.

Started wrenching voc-tech @ 16,married @ 17(yes in 10th grade) Ford training center Carrollton,Tx 3 years(heavy line),worked Ford for 7 or so.Did my stint in ARMY ARTILLARY,air mobilized M-198 unit,Desert Shield/Storm, and support for various Cav units after.(Actually miss that) Post service I switched to the Marine industry,got lucky and had my shop sponsor OEM training with Mercruizer,Mercury Marine and Suzuki Outboard.I also run marine Travel Lift and 4 story Wiggins Marina Bull. Up here it's seasonal so I've always swung a hammer.I own a small const co. That almost runs itself,I actually work with them during the slower months and they hate it.I also hold an OSHA 40 through Union Local 26 Where I work as a large company foreman and "I" hate that (the union work that is).I'm a novice computer builder and avid gamer.Still married(30 years) with a 23yr son and I'm still 4(tee6). I'm Matt and I'm currently a freshman at the University of South Carolina studying computer engineering. I'm 18 and I spent my first 15 years living in Pittsburgh, PA. Both of my grandfathers had a strong mechanical background, one had a dirt track stock car team, and the other worked at westinghouse for 40 years and was the head of the Pittsburgh site's mechanical and optical R&D division for a number of years, so that's how I got to know what I do about cars, engines, machining, etc... My step grandfather is a member of the Mopar club in San Diego, and I've gone to several meetings while visiting him.
I have a 99 Durango SLT 5.2 with 145,000 miles that I drive daily, and a 1969 Plymouth Satellite 318 with 305,000 miles that my grandfather gave me (he drove it for years to westinghouse) that I do restoration work on over the summers.

I have wanted a Durango for several years and then after I got divorced a few months ago, I bought it for myself as a present for having put up with that (5 mins worth of explatives). Loved it and the fill ups ever since. I have a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 in addition and I love them equally. I like finding myself scraping knee along the mountain side on a nice road or finding myself in 4 wheel going down the unpaved parts on the mountain.
