P0320 + P0700 codes
2001 4.7 Durango
I searched for a while and don't have a good feel for what to do yet. I think from what I have read it might be the tranny speed sensor.
Symptoms:
Get on the gas and she seems good and then I hear a "poof" and she goes into limp mode like it is stuck in second gear or something.
I replaced the cam position sensor because I had one.
I did the crank position sensor about 6 months ago - that sucked as it disintegrated.
Anyway - after the tranny seems to go into limp mode she gets real hard to start. When she does start the idle is very eratic. It will dip way down - almost stall and then kick back up above normal, repeat!
Any advice would be appreciated.

the idle dip when you start it back up soundsl ike either a bad tps, a bad IAC or a bad battery, i would say the iac is most likely,
so it looks to me like you need a new crank sensor (or you have a bad connection between it and the computer, you could try to reseat the connector at the crank sensor and the pcm) although iirc the pcm needs the crank sensor connected in order to start, i still think a new crank sensor is the route for this code.
the p0700 could be a loose connection, but i lean towards a bad TCM
P0700-INTERNAL TCM
P0320 No Crank Ref Signal at PCM
P0320 No Crank Ref Signal at PCM

Shooter - thanks for the advice - you were right it was the CPS again.
I replaced it in early January after getting about 140K miles out of the stock unit. Now the replacement pukes in 10 months - WTF?
Whatever, at least it came out easier than the original.
After swapping and going for a tack run I was just about to turn it off and the Check Engine light extinguished -weird. It had been staying on from the P0700 code. I thought maybe I was was seeing things so fired it back up and no check engine light. Weird - wiped codes and it has not shown up again. Gotta love them self correcting problems Jack! Anyway - thanks again for the advice.

The P0700 code may have been cause by the bad crank sensor. Because it is also an input for the TCM. Just a FYI if you buy any sensors, like o2, crank or cam, buy mopar. I have seen to many problems with aftermarket sensors.
Thanks fo rthe heads up on th eMopar sensors. The ones I purchased were indeed from AutoZone. Maybe thats why it puked so quick. At least it was under warranty.
