Just googling them, they don't seem to be anywhere over $500...
I'm sure it's a Mopar. Well, my truck has not been in the shop for over 4 years. I don't mind letting them fix it. I am just upset about JUST spending $350 for a mechanic to put in new tie rods and left front bearings if they were OK...

Question should I just ask them to go ahead and replace the front right bearing while they are in there? Then I have a new front end!

ASK FOR ALL OF YOUR OLD PARTS...keep em honest about it....I think most would advise doing bearings in pairs like
samnbens mentioned so yeah if you can have them done....

Ha ... What do I win? Only kidding. They are $309.99 at Auto Zone.

Wow, that's over $200 up!

Well, I've already gave the dealer the go ahead, so oh well.
I am gonna call to tell them to go ahead and replace the front right bearings too.

So I also have a transmission gasket leaking, they said $169 parts/labor to repair it and do a "transmission service" Yea or ney on that? should I just wait and take it to a transmission place? My transmission is not original, was replaced awhile back.

That sounds like a reasonable price if they are going to replace the filter, adjust the bands and swap the fluid. Make sure they do all three. Otherwise you are paying too much. Tell them not to flush the transmission though (I'm sure you've read the numerous posts about how harmful they can be).

#1 samnbens, good enough price if it's done right, simply protecting a prior investment.
I love seeing people saving these trucks...I mean, not to get soaked doing it, but it's nice to see another one staying on the road....

I pay about $140 for mine to be serviced which means, dropping the transmission pan and replacing the filter, adjusting the bands, and new fluid. Make sure they do NOT buy a transmission flush. One thing to add is that at the dealer they will use the right fluid and parts, whereas aftermarket shops you have to watch like a hawk.

The front bearing, they are around $120-$200 plus install and mark up on the part, it's up to you.

As for the drive line, I would have taken it out and took it to a drive line shop. Depending on their diagnostics have it fixed or get a used one from a junk yard and rebuilt it myself. But that's me.

Well, it is what it is and it IS at the dealer

I feel I have saved Hundreds with help for simple fixes from this forum, and I don't have an in house mechanic anymore... So it's all good with the dealer.

I am gonna wait on the transmission. Take it to a shop or back there later. $1100 is enough right now. Also waiting on the front right bearings.

They gave me a laundry list of things wrong with my truck and I was like "I know... and NO don't fix it" Wipers, front driver blinker, 3 of my 4 windows are rigged up... and the brakes are bad again. It seems my truck EATS brakes.

I really need to keep up my truck better. I do the oil changes and tune ups routinely, but that's about it unless something goes wrong.

these trucks are rough on brakes, its because they are so heavy and dodge put such a small brake package on them, i would get them replaced before they fail on you going down a nice steep hill.
