Default FOGGY WINDOWS, door panels.

My wife just reminded me about another issue we are having with our Durango. When we run defrost the windows start to fog up. This just started after sitting for a while. I had to replace the transfer case so the D sat for about 2 months. I read somewhere there is a filter that may cause this and would much appreciate the location of said filter. I think it is in the interior some where. I also have a speaker blown in the dirvers sie rear door (very crappy sound) can some one tell me how to get the door panels off without destroying them?

To take the doors panels off there are 3 screws on the bottom of the door. One behind the inside door handle and behind the other handle that you use to shut the door. Then just pry the two sides and bottom of the door panel off with a screw driver or putty knife. Then lift the door panel up and take the rod off that goes to the door handle.

Default foggy windshield, smell and "smoke"

I have same issue and was looking for some leads on the problem/solution. Heater was not working for a while. Took it to a mechanic last year who said the heater core was blocked and he blew it out. Got a new water pump at the same time, as the old one failed. Now, when I run the defrost on anything but the coldest setting, there is a funny smell, something that looks like "smoke" coming out of the vents and the windows and windshield fog up.

srch4me, you asked those questions, I assume you've experienced that before and know the solution?

Thanks,
Jason

you know srch, your definitely onto something, i forgot about the heater core, jpankask, it sounds to me like you have a leaking heater core (it is blocked off from the airflow when you put the temp settings on the coldest setting)

Thanks. That gives me a good place to start. I have been slowly losing coolant for some time, but never see anything under the truck. Have to fill up with a cup or so of coolant every few weeks.
