fluid changes are nessisary, you are right there. any one who is stating that a flush will wreck the trans hasnt done any research and should do so. i have flushed over 25000 transmissions in my life, and havent had one problem relating to the flush itself. the problems come in from people neglecting them for too long.

im not sure what you have done, but a high pressure flush uses chemical which degrade rubber seals, as well as high pressure which also damages seals, NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE DOING, however a fluid purge using the cars own pump is acceptable when done w/o any chemicals or additives added to the system. NOTHING EXCEPT ATF +4 should EVER see the internals of these transmissions if you want them to work

A flush does not have to use chemicals ( we don't use chemicals ) or high pressure. It is really a fluid exchange. The machine is put in line with the trans cooler lines...as the trans pumps fluid out ( a 904/727 based 44re/h 46 re/h doesn't pump in park it needs to be in neutral which is also why you check the fluid in neutral) the machine replaces it with fresh fluid. The problem it seems is the tech doesn't know Chrysler transmissions.

what you are describing is known as a transmission PURGE, not a flush, and yes purging the fluid is fine,(not necessary if you change the fluid on a regular basis, but will do no harm) while a flush is damaging as explained above
