Wow you got lucky nothing more happened when that pump went out. I had a Blazer
the p/s pump was going bad. I thought I could drive it till it went out. Nope the pump froze and spun the pulley off. I learn my lesson on running thing till they are completely worn out.

In my Silverado,my p/s pulley spun off...thankfully, the radiator stoped it from leaving the engine bay...

Nothing like being stranded on a snow cover interstate at 2am.....

Had the same thing happen to a friend in a caviler....must be a Chevy thing

Well I changed the pump. The fan came off easy so did the pump. I forgot to use sealant and it leaks so now I have to pull everything off again and use sealant.
