Default How tough is the Plug replacement on a 4.7?

I need to get the plugs done on the D. Last time I had it done by someone else. I kinda wanna try and do it myself this time. How hard is it to do yurself? Any help is appreciated, also if anyone has done it and taken pics that would be Awesome! I know I need to replace with Champion Coppers. Anything else I should do while Im at it? I plan on doing a Seafoam treatment before the plugs also!

Not sure, but I thought the correct way was to use 1 can and split up where you pour it, TB and Gas tank? Never done a car before, so Im not sure.

All 7 plugs will be easy, unscrew with a 10mm. Piston #4 you'll have to move the metal lines out of the way. For piston #8 you will need a short extention and a swivel socket adapter to get to it. The size of the plug will be a 5/8.

Its pretty straightforward if you get one of these:

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...1S_T%7CGRP2062_____

You have to remove the air plenum on top of the engine and also remove the plastic brackets (one on each side) that attach the plenum to the intake manifold. Then you have to unclip a heater hardline (easy) and you will have access to all 8 spark plugs.

The coil on #8 is a little tricky because the trans dipstick tube is right above it, but just wiggle the dipstick tube...

The coils and the plenum brackets use a 10mm socket. Torque spec is 70 in-lbs for the coils, hand tight for the brackets.

The plugs use a 5/8" socket. Torque is 20 ft-lbs, but if you use anti-sieze, then only tighten up to 15 ft-lbs.

Don't forget to use dielectric grease on the coil to spark plug and also on the wiring to coil.

not hard at all, just take your time and go one plug at a time, take the intake box off before you start and dont force the coils, however you still need to put a good bit of effort into getting them out sometimes.

I did mine with a sparkplug socket, an extension and a socket, no universals or anything else special
