Need a recommendation on a scanner P0700
thats what I thought, so for a more specific code than the p0700 then i need to get it to a dealership or tranny shop and have them check the codes(any idea on cost???), or should I just start with replacing the solenoid pack anyway, and hope for the best. I know it cant hurt to replace them, change the tranny fluid even though its not that, maybe 20k on the fluid and filter. While im that far anything else I should replace/do while im into the bottom end of the tranny?
And That Guy, I already like the torque app even I cant use it yet, good call on that one! I can tell it will be well used, as I work on a variety of vehicles.

oh, and did you get a chance to look at your transfer case linkage yet?
no... just got 3 inches of snow, slush, rain in general just enough to really mess up your day today. Need to get it over to the pole barn though I got under there just enough to soak everything down in pb blaster if i have to adjust/replace anything looks like there is one rusted bolt right about where it should adjust.
Shes Not Happy at the moment and yes she had a whoopcident in the front not my doing, cant decide on custom or oem bumper.

I'm not familiar with the electronically controlled transmissions, but if it's spitting out a code for a shift solenoid I'd check the connections, and if the connections are fine replace it.

Ok issue fixed if you wanna call it that, got tranny out of limp mode, cleared codes and all without a drbIII scanner
A: I fixed the issue
B: did what your not supposed to be able to do with a obdII code reader
I know there is possibility of an underlying issue still, but till it presents again this is cool. I figured out how to use a obdII scanner to somehow clear codes being tripped by the tcm. I had the dreaded p0700, then a p0756 also but... with a little trick the obdII cleared them and they haven't presented again.
So if your stuck in limp mode and want to get out there is a way after all without spending 75.00 to 100.00 at a service shop or dealer, Or just throwing money in parts till it goes away. Since I have seen many many many threads about the p0700 should I do a separate write up on how to do this or???

id like to know what you did that cleared all the TCM codes, bc you can tell the computer to forget about the code being there (erase the P0700) but it usually comes right back since there is still a code stored in the TCM, unless the problem corrected itself. . .
