The optional factory size was 265/70/16 NOT 75.

you guys are wrong they will not fit unless you lift it

265/75/16= 32/10.43/16

265/70/16=31/10.43/16

Mine's got 31/10.5/16s according to the tires, as did my last one. No rubbing. 32's won't fit though.

yea i typed in 75 when i meant 70, the 70s will fit on a 2wd just fine, but the 75s may rub at(never actually seen a D w/o 4x4)

Ok, so it sounds like the majority opinion has changed from 'they will fit' to 'they will rub'. I guess I am glad I am a procrastinator and had not put them on yet!

So here's my one follow up question: This 2WD Durango is driven 100% on paved streets. It is the family grocery getter and kid hauler. (I live in Houston Texas... I would say most of the Durangos I see are used that way. I probably see 5 2wd's for every one 4wd, if even that many.) Anyway.... what this means is, most of the time I will not be seeing a lot of wheel articulation. The biggest thing my tires will roll over will be speed bumps. So with that in mind... can anyone tell me if the rubbing under these conditions will be minimal/occasional and tolerable... or if it's just going to be plain unworkable?

I realize this setup may not be ideal but it would sure help my budget if I could use this free set of tires instead of shelling out at the tire store for a whole new set.

i have no experience trying this, but i would expect it to rub at lock in either direction (turning in a tight parking lot ect)and would probably be fine under most circumstances, however i cannot say that for certain.
