Default Will P265/75R16's fit?

I have an 02 Durango SLT Plus with 16 inch wheels. Need a new set of tires. A generous family member is willing to give me a slightly used set off his 02 Chevy Silverado truck for free. Only problem is, I'm not sure if they will fit. They should fit the wheels since they're 16 inchers, but these tires are bigger than the stock durango tires so they may rub the fender or have other problems. (I have no lift or other customizations on my Durango.)

The size of the chevy tires is P265/75R16. Visually, they look like they would fit. Can anyone tell me for sure whether they will work?

265/75/R16 = 31.5X10.5

I have actual 31x10.5 on now. The size can vary SLIGHTLY depending on manufacturer but mine are only a year old, aggressive tread and no rubbing so you should be fine.

Oh wait, is it 2wd or 4wd? Cause that can make a difference.

265/70/16 is the stock tires that came on mine, they will fit just fine without rubbing on all drivelines

any bigger tho and they will start to rub.

thanks for the info - i appreciate it.

FYI this is for a 2WD, but sounds like it will work regardless?

if i were you i would check that
1) the shop actually put the right size tires on
and if so
2) the shop didnt knock anything loose which rubs on the tires.

+1 shrp
Yeah I run 31.5/10.5 in my 4x4 SLT and I have no rubbing problems, so I would definitely take a look
