i get around 17-18 in the summer, in the winter its more like 15-16, its all in how you drive, if you want to see some improvement just use the brick method.
yea put the brick behind the gas pedal, and be careful, you push that honda too hard and its gonna give you trouble (ask my aunt, her 07 spends more time in the shop than my D does, crappy imports)
Oh I hate her honda, in the last year I have had to replace so much CRAP and it still sounds like crap, AND I don't know how to work on them, give me american made any day!
Good plugs and wires (what the Site said was the best) and a light foot. I am used to driving a 42mpg 1997 ford aspire so this 17mpg you rave about is actually killing me. Need to fix my DD.

Rarely do I get over 15, but I know what you mean. I went from a Neon that got about 26-29 to 13-16 in the Durango, and I have the little engine! The few times I've driven the 99 with the 5.2 I could literally watch the gas gauge go down. Doesn't help that the 99 has a smaller tank.
how does 99 have a smaller tank? our trucks all have 25 gallon gas tanks... might wanna get that gas leak fixed too if your watching the needle like that... my 5.2 got 14 in town and 16 or 17 on the highway
