Ok, that makes sense (I said duh when I saw that). Have you had to replace your fog light switch?

nope. ive had it like this for about a month now and no issues with the switch. i also dont have the factory fog lights anymore. both mounts broke so i said forget it. instead i have offroad lights on my bumper that are wired to the fog light harnesses instead of having to run new wires and a switch into the cab. i also use these lights quite often lately. almost every night so if something was gonna happen to the switch it probably would have by now

why do you want the FOG lights to work on highbeam? if you want extra lights on for highbeam why not buy some driving lights and wire them in to be on for highbeam. the fog lights are meant for fog not highbeam. here in BC, maybes its Canada wide there a law about fogs and driving lights extra from the main headlights. foglights are suppose to only come on when lowbeams are on and driving lights only when highbeams are on. cops do pull people over for misuse of fog and driving lights or having to many of them. 2 fogs and 2 driving lights extra from main headlights, anything more or anything in an incorrect location like the roof must be covered while on a highway and a highway is a broad term for pretty much anything thats not a private industry road or a game trail lol. ive even heard of cops pulling people over for using there fogs lights when its not foggy, not sure what came of that though.

There are no laws where I live against it for fogs, now off road lights are a different story.....

I think there are laws in most place throughout the US about fogs, but nobody, cops included, gives a damn

Seems almost everyone (I don't though) out here drives on the highway with the fog lights on. Never seen any in a situation where you'd use the high beams though.

ND is pretty lenient on everything it seems, the fogs have to be no higher than 32in from the ground and so many inches from the top of the bumper iirc. But there is no law saying you can't have em' on with your highs.

The lights on a Durango really aren't true "fog" lights. They are more of a driving pattern.

Regardless, most places in the states, I'm sure will not give you any grief by having them on with the high beams.

After installing HIDs I stopped using aux lights. But my aux lights are as high as stock head lights. On back roads I want all the light I can get. Loss of lower light to gain a few feet of the highs is not an option. In town its just a matter of style like driving around with blue hids during the day.
