Lucas sucks, and Fram sucks!

Get yourself a new Bosch or Puralator filter with a anti-drain valve, and a 5 quart bottle of Mobil One Fully Synthetic 10W-30 for that 5.2L engine. (I usually get the black boxed Bosch filter for $5) Remove the oil filter first then remove the oil from the pan and let her drip. Now replace the filter and add the whole 5 quart bottle you bought at Wal-Mart for about $25 bucks. Now you should be full, however you might need an extra 1/2 quart, at least I know many 5.9L's that like that extra 1/2 quart. At this point you should be full and mark your dipstick.

I like to check the oil first thing in the morning, but it is supposed to be warm I believe.

lvphotos<----If you have a leak then fix it. Durango's aren't "drippers". Dripping gaskets are because of lack of maintenance.

10w30 is the recommended weight of oil for the 5.2 and 5.9l engines

5w30 is the recommended weight of oil for the 4.7

I use 5w-30, even experimented with 0w-30. They both ran good especially at -20 degrees.

Isnt 0w30 a whole lot thinner than 10w30? Or is it a little thicker? Never actually looked at it
