Dang. I got that crap on my oil fill tube now too. I live in a moist climate and it seems like I never drive it more than about 5 miles to work and then back. So I'm just gonna assume it's condensation, for now.
I sniffed the ugly yellow slime, and mine smells like gas too. I wonder why the gas smell?

I would drive it 35miles or 50km to get her nice and warm, run her good!, then change oil.I also changed air filter and put a fuel cleaner in.It has been 100km and the condensation seems better.I'll keep monitoring. As for the gas i'm not sure.Normal blow by gas smell is normal, but i'm not use to a v8.My cap was also almost packed full and when half the gunk came out liquid poured out!

12.2 thats the lowest ive ever gotten on my D. i usually get between 14-17. most of my driving is done between towns and side streets. i drive 11 miles to work and 11 back, 20 to school and 20 back...sometimes ill take the highway to and from school depending on the weather and time.

as for the white gunk...i just clean what i can and ignore the rest. mines only on the cap and some on the filler neck side of the pcv (when it was replaced this past spring).
