well my durango is been sitting for the past 5 or 6 months since the accident and im getting ansy and wanna do some work on it. so any suggestions of maintenance or gaskets or anything of the sort i should replace while i have it sitting here still and wont be driving it? its got 146000 miles on it but not sure about the engine because its not the orriginal engine from the vehicle.

If you can start it up every week, if not I would put about 2 caps of clean oil into each cylinder to keep rust from forming and locking up the motor.

yeah i start it every week and let it run for about 15 mins... i wanna start running synthetic so i didn't know if there were any seals i should replace while its sitting still... if its a good idea to just replace the plenum gasket while its sitting and stuff like that... although i dont think my plenum is bad.

Well its been sitting your best bet is to start looking at any seal really. Synthetics could mean leaks when u do start driving it again so always be prepared for that. I'd also check the brakes right before its ready to be drove again to make sure u won't have a caliper locking up on ya. Take that throttle body off and shine it up maybe think about air filter and plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Check all the vacuum lines and pvc valve. Go over sensors and wires! Mice like to make nests too!
