Does Amsoil make a type of High Mileage oil? I wanted to make the switch to synthetics in my Durango(200k) but I'm a bit nervous. Or does it high mileage oil not Any better than their regular oil?

besides marketing i have not found any solid differences between 'regular' and 'high mileage' oils, if there is a difference i would very much like to know what it is

although they also consider 75k high mileage LMFAO i consider that nicely broken in

I agree I don't know anyone that considers 75k miles "high". Some Of these new vehicles it takes a rocket scientist to work on whereas older vehicles, even the 5.2/5.9 were real easy to fix.

@TurboStixx I have been an amsoil dealer for about a year now if you have any questions feel free to ask me and i will help you as best as i can. I know when you first start it can get a little frustrating but stick with it and try to get a few retail/commercial accounts going and it will all be worth it.

@ Turbostixx- I am a dealer also so do not be discouraged by the naysayers! They are to lazy to do the research on the product. Amsoil has been around much longer than Mobil 1 or any other product sold at Wallyworld. Amsoil set the standards for synthetics. I installed a Cummins 5.9 into my 85 Dodge crew cab hooked up to a 47rh and I use Amsoil syn trans oil with no problems. It lubricates and actually cools the trans much better than any other product. The first thing you need to learn is how to compare the cost savings by using the Amsoil vs. other products. That will save you a lot of headaches. For all you doubters go to Amsoil website or ask any dealer for a products break down sheet of all their products and you will become a user after doing your research. Until you do your homework don't criticize! Amsoil has a great reputation and stands behind their product!! GOOD LUCK TURBOSTIXX!! and welcome to the Amsoil world of synthetics. One more thing for the Mobil 1 diehards or other brands they do use same base stock as Amsoil but they are not pure full synthetic products. Do the homework and you will see what I am talking about

This sounds really good so I went to the Amsoil website but could not find the information I was looking for. Here is what I needed:
1. The transmission fluid temperature using Amsoil and the temperatures of every other product.
2. How they determined lubricates better. i.e. Amsoil is a 10 out of 10 and Mobil 1 is a 9.3 out of 10 or is it a percent?

Thanks

High mileage oils are supposed to have additives to rejuvenate seals. If you use a good oil that wouldn't be an issue anyways.......

I did just do a comparison test, took the results from AMSOIL and Mobil 1 from their direct website specs. I noticed very little differences. But AMSOIL did beat Mobil 1 by the research as it stands, but it was close.

The only noticable thing I saw, was that Mobil 1 will not release the Four-Ball Wear Test, Scar in mm; 40 kg, 75˚C, 1200 rpm, 1hr (ASTM D-4172B). Which is odd...But hey, we all have our own fluids that have worked for us, and I understand that, I am not going to sit and try to throw a sales pitch at you! I promise! But you can PM me if you do want me to show you :-)

Turbostixx ask your sponsor for the test results Amsoil did comparing their product against their competitors. You should carry this information with you when stating your case to a prospective customer. Amsoil has test results for all of their products. I run the extended oil in all my vehicles. My wife's Honda CR-V gets the most use out of all our vehicles. I did however have to replace the trans in the Honda due to my lack of servicing it but I went with the Honda synthetic trans oil only because of results I read from other Honda owners using the Amsoil. I did not feel comfortable using the Amsoil trans oil and did not want to change out the trans again. I did the trans work myself. Other than that I have complete trust in their products! I am in the process of building an 87 Dodge D-100 for my son and had a friend go through the manual trans for me and filled it with Amsoils manual trans fluid. I also use their all purpose grease in every thing that needs grease from the trans in my mower to repacking wheel bearings. I also use their chain saw bar oil and the Sabre two stroke oil for weed eaters, chain saws etc.
