Is there a way to test the crank sensor before replacing?

Ok this might sound weird...but you should check to make sure your throttle cable is tight. It might be slipping...Ive had that happen on another rig before.

I dont know if there is a way to test the cps, but it costs 70something bucks from Autozone, and as I posted before it is a biatch to get to.

It sounds like a cps to me...does it make any weird sounds or does it just slow down slowly and shut off on you?

It jerks, but i dont recall any other weird sounds. I wouldn't say that it slows down slowly. It seems to slow down fairly quick.
