Yeah try the tps its cheaper and easier to replace. Reset the pcm and go from there.

Replaced the TPS and reset the PCM. We'll see how it runs.

TPS didn't solve the problem. Happened again this morning. This time I drove about a 1 mile and stopped at a red light. I tried to accelerate and it had very little power. It was jerky. I was able to pull over. The idle was kind of moving up and down between 500 and 1000 rpms. Waited for about 2 minutes and it seemed to e normal and was able to drive it to where I was going. Any thoughts. Try CPS now?

It's a real pig to be spending time and money on replacing this or that when you cant realy diagnose the problem for shure, but it sounds a lot like the problem I had with mine when the CPS went out, thats about all I can tell you, good luck with it mate, hope you get it sorted.

Took the Durango into my mechanic today. He said there was a crack in one of the vacuum hoses and another one had come off. They said this could be the cause. I guess we'll see.

Well it would sure make it run like crap, but to bog down that bad must be a large hose?

Ok so the vacuum hoses were not the problem. Just did it again. It only seems to do it when I press the gas pedal. Never when I am just cruising or stopped.

Today I started up the Durango and let it warm up as I scraped the ice off the windows. As I was doing this I noticed that it started to run a little rough and there was a lot smoke coming out of the exhaust. I looked at the tach and saw that RPMs going up and down between 500 and 1000. I turned the car off and let it sit for a min and then started it back up. Fired up fine and ran fine on my way to work. Any thoughts?
