2002 Durango 5.9 R/T overheating
#11
I finally got a chance to work on the rig. The first thing I noticed is the clutch fan is sitting in the front seat. I'm pretty sure it needs to be attached to the engine to work. I don't know... I'm not an expert.
I took it for a drive and I couldn't get it to overheat. The elec fan kicks on frequently but it doesn't get too hot. I would guess the elec fan may not keep up in severe driving conditions. I checked the radiator with my cool new infrared temp sensor and it seemed to check out just fine. I'm going to reinstall the clutch fan and give it back to them. Hopefully that's all that was wrong.
