Does the transmission shift into 3rd gear at all. 45 to 55 mph?

The sensor was changed to the plastic sensor, however with the 8 pin connector disconnected, it still would manually shift....

I'm just asking, did the old transmission shift at all into 3rd gear? Or not at all?

Another thing to try is to disconnect the transmission throttle cable.....Now be careful here, because the transmission IS GOING to slip with throttle above light acceleration( would be a good idea to place rear axle on jack stands)....If trans will shift to third , then you know you have a throttle linkage concern....( also be careful moving the gear selector while rear wheels are off ground)

You are posting in over a 3.4 year old thread. But it's time you take it in and have it monitored with pressure and electrical.
