Cool 99 Durango back right lock up

My back left tire locks up/skids if I hit the brakes a little hard. No other problem, no squeals, grinds, thumps or pulling.

Have you taken the brake drum off? It could be a bad wheel cylinder (leaking) or broken parts. You will need to back off the brakes to take the drum off. Let us know if you need the how to for this.

Take the drum off and look inside, you might need shoes and to adjust and just clean the brake dust up. It's a pretty common thing around the forum with rear brakes grabbing. Mine do it from time to time

I had the same thing happen with my left rear brake 2 weeks ago and It was because of a leaking wheel cylinder that got fluid on the linings. If that is your problem make sure you replace both wheel cylinders and most likely your linings. It'd also be a good time to replace the springs since you'll have them all off too. I spent $20 on the two wheel cylinders, $20 on the linings, and another $10 on the springs. (my auto adjuster was also shot too so you may want to check yours too $10 to replace them). Also make sure you take lots of pictures before you start ripping things apart and only do one side at a time so that you can refer to the other side for where things go. And if you do replace your linings do not buy them from auto zone.

EDIT:

Make sure you get brake fluid and a few cans of brake clean too

btw shrp, I think you scared an echo out of him. lol
