i have an 02 durango..driver side windowwill roll down then back up to a certain point.. then stops. i took the door panel off and looked around i found a white clip type peice that was broken laying in the bottom of the door. any ideas on what this may be would be helpfull..im not sure if that peice is the problem or not..whaen i had panel off i rollled window up and down it looked like everything was working.
In a door panel, there is a lot of little white clips. Can you take a picture so I know what the clip looks like, or at least be more descriptive like is it small or large, round or square...
Also, is there any signs of the regulator binding up?
it was a small clip sorry i do not have the clip anymore..not sure what happened to it.i dont think anything is binding up.i think im going to end up having someone work on it..im not much on window issues..motor issues i can deal with but windows n electrical is a little above me
i have a repair manual for my durango but it really doesnt show much its more on taking motor and regulator out not sure if that will end up happening or not..i like to fix things m yself rather then spend all that money on a dealership to do it
Unfortunately without knowing what the clip looks like, I'm not able to help you with that one.
As for the regulator have whoever is working on it and test it to see if it's binding or just not actuating. As for R/R of the regulator, it's pretty straight forward on the Durango.
Sounds to me like the window motor is bad, mine was doing that and is now completely not working. I was gonna replace the carbon brushes inside the motor....but I can't find anyone who carries them
There are two white plastic clips inside the window regulator track that the cable ends hook into.
My drivers rear did the same thing except it will roll itsself down. This might be your prob, i know myself i need a whole new track assembly.
