Cool 2000 Durango 5.9 2WD Tranny Leak

First off, I'm a girl so go easy on me! LoL.

I Have had shifting problems in the past. I Changed modules and
solenoids, flushed tranny, changed filter. That all seemed to help.

Recently, tranny began leaking fluid, then began to stream out. I found where I'm missing one of the two bolts that go into the plate to the bellhousing just behind the oil pan and it looks like thats where the leak is. Should fluid leak out of that area or does that mean I have a seal inside leaking as well?

Welcome to DF
First of all, You are member of Dodge forum. We help everyone. The plate I think you are asking about is the transmission inspection cover. There maybe four bolts, two 5/16 bolts with 7/16 bolt head and two 3/8 bolts with 5/8 bolt heads. If you are getting fluid leaking from that area, Then the front pump gasket seals maybe leaking. The transmission would need to be removed to replace the seals.

Not to sound like a jerk but you really shouldnt have flushed your transmission. It can cause alot of other unintendid problems. It blows old crap around and gets it stuck in places it shouldnt be.

Not at all. You are stating what happens when someone flushes their transmission.

She said she had her tranny flushed master tech :-). She should maybe inspect the front pump to make sure it did not damage the front seal?
