Ok guru types, I come to you with my head bowed. Drove back to Fort Benning, Ga., last night from Panama City Beach. Pretty uneventful drive. When we pull up to the house I notice a light knock, a totally new sound. I peek around, but am called in to the house by the Mrs. to help with the kiddos. It cools down, I start it again, knock is still there. It's late, and I'm exhausted, so I hit the bed. Get up this morning to drive in to work, and it's bad. Knock, with my usual morning valvetrain chatter. This is the same Durango that I was having a low oil pressure issue with about 4k ago, I did a couple of quick succession oil changes and went up a viscosity, and all has been well. Sitting at 144k now. I was hoping for something like broken manifold bolts, but I have a growing concern it is much more. I'm taking off the intake assembly now. Problem is on the pass side head area, or it sounds like it. advice? more info needed? thanks in advance!
Good ear! I took the pass side cover off, and 3 rockers are sitting in the oil. Feels like two others are loose also. Any suggestions on the right way to fix this?? I see that putting the rockers back in aren't too bad, but i'd like to avoid this in the future.
