Default Master Window Switch...

So I've seen some threads (one by hydra: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...aning-diy.html) about cleaning the master switches, and since I've been having issues with mine I think it's time to do the same.

I am having issues with all windows but the drivers, except from the master, and to make a long story short have narrowed it down to my "window lock" switch contact.

However, here's my issue. I do not have door panels like those pictured in his thread. My 03 has a square panel with no visible screws. I'm wondering if I can just pop it off, or if there are tabs I should worry about breaking off. I figured it's probably just tabs holding it in, but I don't want to force it and break it off. If there's anything I should know, thanks ahead of time!

tl;dr: My door panels are different than in his tutorial. How do I get the master switch module out of my 03 slt?

Also, if cleaning them doesn't work, should I consider the jumper wire?

Here is the thread where the idea came from: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...r-windows.html

Not 100% sure on the 2003's but i know the 98-00's you have to take the door panel off and there are 3 screws hidden in there that hold it on...

if i where you i would download the 2002 factory service manual (should be the same for 03) and look it up.. it should give you steps for removal.

No no, on the 98-00s, there is no need to remove the whole door panel. All you have to do is take out the handle, which has two screws. I don't see any screws. But if I have to take off the door panel, it'll have to wait because I don't have that kind of time..

It's not in the manual, although I was tired when I read it...

in the 2001 - 2003 (new interior) the master control panel just pulls up, be careful not to break any of the tabs and do NOT use anything to pry with besides your fingers the panel WILL pop out, no need to take the whole door off.

Just figured it out yesterday, sharp! Thanks for the confirmation. Sitting at a red light I decided to play with it, and with just a little tugging (not hard at all) it popped right out.

I will be cleaning the contacts today!

I noticed something odd. After cleaning, it works fine. I tried to use it, just put my key to "on" (didn't start the D, just wanted my windows to work) and all four worked fine.

Once I got home today, tried again with the truck running, and none worked. So I shut it off, and put the key back to "on" (again, not running, like my original test) and they worked.

So why won't they work when it's running?

did you try starting it again to see if they'd work again or did you just call it there?
