I have seafoamed a lot of cars, some are not easy to do through brake booster...mostly because of the angle of the vacuum line...put it right in tb, with zero adverse side effects..it can be done, but to each their own

Quote: I just did my own, monroe sensa tracs, $120 for all four shocks, took me about an hour...air tools and pb blaster...$700 seems incredibly high, if they are installing billstein shocks that might seem appropriate...they run around $80-$100 per shock...you are getting charged about $500 for labor alone
i asked what shocks they were using and they said sensatrack., where did you get the shocks for $120?

I'm not sure if it's called Checkers, or Advance Auto where you live. Monroe Sensa-Tracs are $43.99 for each corner. Because I am a former employee, and still have a friend working there, I was able to get them for about $27 each. Now mind you, the heavy duty shocks will cost more money. This is right off of Advance's website.

If you plan on towing a lot with it, or loading the rear with heavy stuff, I would recommend load adjusting shocks like these...

Then you still have options on brand from KYB to Rancho through Advance Auto/Checkers as well...they run $50-$120 a corner...My personal recommendations are Monroe Sensa tracks for the front, and the Load adjusting for the rear..you will get a nice firm ride, and if you tow a good size trailer, the rear won't be dragging the pavement

i never said pouring it in the TB wouldnt work, however it is VERY VERY EASY TO SCREW UP THAT WAY, pour it in too fast and you will hydrolock the engine, i do not want to be responsible for telling someone to do that, do YOU????? the best, safest and easiest way is to find a vacuum line (any will work tbh, the brake booster is just the biggest) and stick it in the can with the throttle held open.

Ok..if you do pour in the TB...pour VERY SLOWLY. I never said to get all *****-nilly and just start dumping the stuff in..lol. I had my wife come out, I poured a little in the tb to get it started smokin...then I had her hold idle at 1200-1400 RPMS, and added the can slowly until it started smoking really good, took about a half a can...let it run until it quit smoking...YES...vacuum is the best way, I have watched guys pull that vacuum line off the charcoal canister on some vehicles, put it right in the seafoam bottle..gotta love those Indiana hillbillies...

i did the front shocks today, i went with the gabriel ultra's because of the price, autozone rewards and the mail in rebate. doing the work was fairly easy and simple i have no idea why everyone i called got such a high cost for the job.

i'll look into the rears tank suggested.

also tank by me its advance auto parts and they are that much, its awesome you can still get that discount.

tank, when making blanket statements (especially on something like this) you need to assume that it will be read by someone with 0 clue what they are doing
