Need pointers to replace condensor fan
Howdy folks. Been a member here for years but never found the need to create a thread.
Long story short, my compressor died 2 years back on my 03 4.7 SLT. Replaced it this year and in traffic the truck overheats a tad and the AC gets a bit warm. Does fine and cold on highway, and after due diligence I have determined the E-fan for the condensor is dead.
New one will be here shortly, and seems like a simple job, but if anyone has a link to the how-to I'd appreciate it. Seems there are two bolts holding on the upper shroud and then just 3 to remove the old fan, and there seems to be ample room to r&r it, but has anyone done this, and did you notice any pitfalls?
Thanks for the advice.
Lloyd.
