Default 2001 durango 4.7l won't start

Hello all,
My durango will fire but won't start. We replaced the battery a few weeks ago. We were driving and it died at a light and wouldnt restart. It seemed like an alternator problem but everything electrical works fine. The windows still roll up and down very quickly and battery still hold a good charge. No codes show up when checked as well. Any help is appreciated.

thanks!

Default Checked cables and battery

So, I did a thorough check on the cables and they were good. I then took the battery out and had it tested. (mind you the battery is less than 2 months old)
It was severely discharged and took 60-90 minutes to completely recharge. Brought it home and put it back in, but it still won't start.

Check your fuel pressure (with a gauge) Check for spark. If no spark my guess would be crankshaft position sensor. If no fuel pressure probably fuel pump.

+1 dolittle

Finally could be a PCM, but I would go there yet. Do what dolittle stated first.

Default interesting

Sorry for no response, I had to go out of town. Just got back last night and decided to try to start the Durango this morning. It started, and ran for about 5 seconds then dropped in RPM's and died. Is that a hint in a any direction?

thanks for all your help!

sounds like fuel pressure. try turning the key on to let the fuel pump run and cycle it a couple times then try to start. if it starts then dies again. may guess would be that something fuel related

I replaced the camshaft and crankshaft sensor, still same issue so I am leaning towards fuel. On the hunt for a fuel pressure tester. Thanks so far for all the help!

did you check for spark? pull a plug wire and put a plug in it and hold the plug to the block watch for spark while someone turns the engine over.

if it has spark put a fuel pressure gage on it and see how much pressure you do or dont have
