no the dash light is controlled by the shift lever position not the internal gears positioning so you will have to do it by feel.
also the truck will ALWAYS slow down in tight corners, it is more force for it to overcome, however it will slow down much faster in 4wd and need much more gas pedal pressure to keep going in 4wd
