Default 5.9 coolant leak

Changed out water pump and hoses. Still leaks. Appears to have a slight leak at top of timing cover where it meets the intake manifold. Any idea as to whats going on?

When you replaced the water pump, did you use a hammer on the top of the water pump to remove from the timing cover? Or did you hit it from the bottom of the pump? The reason i ask and most people don't know this, is the timing cover only has 4 bolts holding the timing cover to the engine block and they are at the bottom of the cover. When you hit the water pump on the top of the pump, the force will cause the timing cover gasket to break loose and cause a leak. Have you replace the thermostat gasket yet? I would replace the t-stat gasket first and then recheck before thing about the timing cover. Adding to other leaks you could have, the corner of the intake manifold could be leaking too.

Default 5.9 coolant leak

Thermostat gasket OK. Are you saying there is coolant behind the timing cover? Sounds like your suggestion of the intake manifold leak may be my problem. Is this something you have come accross before and is it common?

Yes i have seen this before, But i would pressure test the cooling system before just start ripping and tearing the engine apart.
